About Developers

Capcom’s Development Division 1 is in charge of the project. There have been rumors of this remake since 2018. It was being developed for some time by M-Two, a “Capcom-backed” studio, which eventually dropped out. To guarantee the highest level of quality, the remake of Resident Evil 4 was brought in-house. There was no public announcement of this information. But a number of sources have mentioned the development history of this game.

Reimagined Storyline & Plot

Resident Evil 4 Remake familiarizes you with the original. Let’s not assume anything yet because it’s entirely possible that some story elements will change, especially with the presentation. The story takes place after 6 years of the Racoon City biological incident. Leon Scott Kennedy plays the game’s main character in a perilous rescue mission to rescue the daughter of the American President. The series takes a look at a young girl kidnaped by a cult in rural Spain.

Leon has to navigate a maze of ambushes and traps left by a mysterious plague that has turned the entire community of the village into evil. With the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4, Capcom has confirmed that the story will be taking a different turn from the original. The game’s story will be “reimagined” according to a press release released by Capcom following the release of the first trailer.

Gameplay

Despite what we know about Resident Evil 4 and its trailer, at least in terms of the action and survival horror aspects, it already looks like a mixture of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Village. Interestingly, this iteration might give us a chance to play as Ashley, the president’s daughter. This could be a thrilling section if done well, just like Sherry in Resident Evil 2. Chief Mendez is also displayed in a trench coat and hat, showing Mr. X vibes. Perhaps he has a larger role to play in hunting you in the village and the castle, which would be spectacular.

A revamped of Luis and Ada can also be seen in the trailer. The summer showcase mentions that Capcom has completely revised the Ganados, Leon’s main enemy type. So we may see a broader selection of enemies in the villages and castles he will explore.

Platforms & Release Date

Although the game debuted at the PlayStation event, it’s not going to be exclusively available on Sony’s console – it will also be released for Xbox One Series X/S and PC  as well. The next-generation virtual reality headset from Sony will be supported by PSVR 2. The game will not be available on last-generation consoles, a significant step forward. And Finally, the game will release on March 24, 2023.
